About the event
Short Course: Writing Ghost Stories for Christmas
Join artist Alan Seiglow for a spine tingling exploration of Ghost Stories and write your own short stories over four workshops.
The Fens and The East of England have provided the setting for many a ghostly & uncanny tale from the work of M.R James to contemporary chills from Daisy Johnson.
With roots in ancient traditions of sharing tales around a winter fire and gained popularity in the Victorian era. Join writer/performer Alan Seiglow as he pulls back the veil on some ghostly tales.
Over the weeks we will explore four classic ghost stories as well as other recommendations to give us a chill. We'll investigate these texts, whats gives us goosebumps and engage in creative practice with provocations, prompts and exercises to write our own short ghost stories.
Expect a welcoming and fun environment, a hot drink and a mince pie or two..
