Artistic Intentions

Artistic Intentions is a relaxed and welcoming online writing session designed to spark ideas, unlock imagination, and encourage playful exploration with words.

Suitable for ages 18+

When: Running every Monday from 9th to 30th March

Times: 7 pm to 8:30 pm

Where: Zoom. Use a valid email to book your space, we will send you a link on the day.

These online sessions offer a series of creative prompts and provocations for poetry, prose, and spoken word. Whether you're a beginner, an experienced writer, or someone simply curious to see what might emerge on the page, this is a space to experiment and discover.

Each session will include guided exercises to help you start writing quickly and confidently. You might find the beginnings of a poem, develop an idea for a story, or simply enjoy the act of writing alongside others.

There will also be a gentle focus on the landscapes, people, and stories of the Fenland, offering inspiration drawn from place, memory, and everyday life.

This space is open to:

• People new to writing who want a friendly starting point

• Writers looking for fresh prompts and creative stimulation

• Anyone considering entering work into the Fenland Poet Laureate Award

• Those who simply want the motivation of writing in a shared creative space

Sharing is always optional. The emphasis is on supportive and constructive practice, curiosity, and creativity.

Each session will be hosted by writer/performer Alan Seiglow and Creative Producer at Creative Fenland.

When you sign up for Artistic Intentions we will add you to a mailing list to receive the Zoom Link each week an hour before the session starts.
